2 cleaners rescued from 15th floor in Abu Dhabi

Two Asian window cleaners had a near-death experience while they were on duty cleaning a tower in Abu Dhabi on Monday evening.

According to an 'Emarat Al Youm' report, the Operations Room of Abu Dhabi Police received an emergency call that two Asian window cleaners were hanging on for dear life from the15th floor of a building they were cleaning after one of the ropes of their scaffold broke.
 
Lieutenant Colonel Mohammed Ibrahim Al Amiri, Director, Abu Dhabi Police Emergency and Public Safety Directorate, said rescue teams immediately rushed to the site and put up precautionary measures.
 
They fixed a crane to prevent the scaffold from swinging and instructed the workers how to fix the ropes on to the crane.
 
Later the rescue team successfully managed to bring the duo down safely using mobile ladders.
