2 kids lost in Sharjah desert saved

Two children who had lost their way in the desert while riding their motorcycles in Sharjah, have been rescued.

After the police station at Madam was informed about the missing kids, several patrols were launched but the children could not be located because of high sand dunes and the vastness of the desert.

A helicopter of the Interior Ministry’s Air Wing was then pressed into service.  After three hours, the chopper’s pilot found a motorcycle but not the two kids. But the pilot guided the patrols to the motorcycle and further along its tread marks in the desert, enabling the police to find the children.

The children were in good health and were handed over to their parents.
