3,884,933 calls to Abu Dhabi Police last year

The Central Operations Room of Abu Dhabi Police received 3,884,933 telephone calls last year, including 897,000 varied calls, reported 'Al Khaleej' newspaper.

Colonel Ali Mohammed Al Dhaheri, Director, Operations, Abu Dhabi Police, said: "The leadership gives priority to performance. It provides latest advanced equipment and technologies to facilitate enhanced procedures."

Lt Col Nasser Suleiman Al Maskari, Head of Central Operations, Abu Dhabi Police, said its automated system is sophisticated, which links all platforms in rooms operations, such as the call centre; 999; patrols; and other support platforms of officers and supervisors.

He said the peak time is between 2pm until 10pm, when the total number of calls received was 233,515 reports, which is 77.44 per cent of the total calls.
