Three people, including a woman, died and 16 others injured in two road accidents in Ras Al Khaimah.
In the first accident, MF, a 27-year-old Asian woman, and NS, a 26-year-old Arab youth, died and five people of different nationalities were injured.
Colonel Ahmed Al Som Naqbi, Acting Director of Traffic and Patrol Police, Ras Al Khaimah, said the two dead people were accompanied by QA,38, SC, 30, and AB, 32 years old.
According the police, speeding caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle and hit a heavy vehicle parked on the road.
In the second accident, TF, a 30-year-old Emirati died and 11 people, including children, suffered moderate to serious injuries.
The UAE citizen lost control of his car when he tried to swerve his vehicle to avoid being hit by a truck. He died on the spot while his family suffered moderate to serious injuries.
