3 killed in Al Barsha after car rams into restaurant

A vehicle drove into the kitchen of a restaurant in Al Barsha on Thursday night and killed three people, reports the Traffic Department of Dubai Police.

At 3.30am, a vehicle of the type Mercedes drove into the kitchen of the restaurant.

Two kitchen staff and one pedestrian who passed the restaurant at the time of the accident died. All of them were of Asian nationality.

The driver of the vehicle did not suffer any injuries. One person in the car suffered injuries, she is of Brazialian nationality.

The driver and other passengers are of Angolan nationality.

All of them were smelling of alcohol, reports Dubai Police.

The driver was driving recklessly and with excessive speed, says the report.
