Road accidents are a major cause of injuries and deaths in the Gulf (File)
Eleven traffic accidents occurred in Dubai during the Eid Al Adha holidays. These resulted in injuries to 19 persons from minor to serious. No one died.
The General Department of Dubai Traffic Police disclosed that on Saturday, three accidents occurred, the first one was between two vehicles on Sheikh Zayed Road which resulted in 3 injuies.
The second accident was on Emirates Road due to a collision of a motorbike and a vehicle that was parked on the side of the road. The driver of the bike was hurt.
The third was a run-over accident on Al Rasheed Road, which led to serious injuries for the victim.
Three accidents occurred on the first day of Eid Al Adha, which resulted in 3 injuries. The first accident occurred between two vehicles near Karama.
The second one was on Al Khaleej Street and was a run-over accident, and the third one was in Al Mateena area was a collision between a vehicle and a motorcycle.
The second Day of Eid Al Adha saw four incidents which resulted in 8 injuries.
The first in Umm Suqeim was a collision of two vehicles. A run-over was the second one in Muhaisina area, and the third one was a run-over accident on Amman Street.
The fourth happened in Al Khawaneej Street between three vehicles and resulted in 4 injuries.
On Tuesday, a run-over accident occured in Muhaisina area, which led to moderate injuries to the driver of the motorbike.
