41 killed on Abu Dhabi roads in Jan-Feb

Road accidents killed 41 people in January and February and more than half of the victims were Emiratis, according  to police data.

The deaths during that period were much below the toll in the same two months of last year, when 71 people were killed on the roads.

The figures showed the victims in the first two months of 2014 included 23 Emirates and the rest were mainly Asians.

Police said the accidents were caused by negligence, speed, reckless driving, sudden swerving and other violations.
