8 teens steal Abu Dhabi police mobikes
Abu Dhabi police arrested eight boys aged between 13 and 15 years for stealing 11 motorcycles owned by the police, the press reported on Sunday.
The eight boys were also charged of driving the stolen motorcycles through the emirate’s roads without driving licences and of planning to steal more of them.
Police said they caught the eight after they tried to sneak into the police’s vehicle confiscation area in Mafraq outside Abu Dhabi city to steal more motorcycles.
They said the boys managed to get the 11 motorcycles in separate theft operations by digging a tunnel under the fence and dragging the machine out.
“They were then caught by the guard who called the police…they were all arrested and referred to the family prosecutor,” 'Emarat Al Youm' daily said, quoting police.
