Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, has praised His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of UAE, on the 10th anniversary of His Highness' accession as Ruler of Dubai.
In an article titled ‘School of Leadership’, Sheikh Maktoum noted that it was a privilege and a rare and invaluable opportunity for him to be raised in a school established by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed.
He described Sheikh Mohammed as a leader who astonished the world with his futuristic vision and insights.
"His Highness Sheikh Mohammed is the father and leader," said Sheikh Maktoum.
Sheikh Maktoum also noted that he has learnt countless lessons from Sheikh Mohammed who, he said, loves his country and is loyal to his people.
He said that the sky is the limit for the ambitions of Sheikh Mohammed who continue to boost hopes of people in the UAE for further glory, prosperity and well-being.
Sheikh Maktoum said that in 10 years of governance, this school of leadership saw Sheikh Mohammed taking great interest in youth, because he strongly believes in their potential.
Sheikh Maktoum, who is also Chairman of the Dubai Technology and Media Free Zone Authority, recalled that it was a real test for him when years ago he was tasked by Sheikh Mohammed to oversee a project to create Dubai Internet City. The ambitious and non-traditional project, Sheikh Maktoum noted, would later have a profound and positive impact on people's life and the economy of Dubai, the UAE and maybe the whole region.
Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed praises Dubai Ruler's backing for women
Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of UAE Gender Balance, and President of Dubai Women Establishment, has praised His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of UAE on the 10th anniversary of his accession as Ruler of Dubai.
Sheikha Manal, who is the wife of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, noted that Sheikh Mohammed, in the past years, has extended great support to Emirati women to enable them to play an effective role in serving the UAE and establish its stature as one of the most advanced countries.
In an article titled ‘Ten Years of Empowerment and Excellence’, Sheikha Manal said she was privileged to be raised in the school of leadership led by Sheikh Mohammed.
"The only preoccupation of Sheikh Mohammed, the father and leader, is with how to empower his country, people and government to achieve excellence. It is no wonder because he was raised by the late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum who gave his son the spirit of leadership and courage to confront hardships and even turn them into success," she said.
Sheikha Manal noted that when she was a child, Sheikh Mohammed taught her dedication, determination and the development of clear goals.
"It was more than raising a child... It was the process of preparing leaders who are capable of shouldering responsibilities and leading development, a top priority for him."
Women, Sheikha Manal noted, are at the heart of development because Sheikh Mohammed believes that they are half of the society and that they have creative and innovative positive energy just like men.
