An accident has been reported on the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road in front of Mirdif City Centre, heading towards Sharjah.
Dubai Police tweeted that a major traffic jam has been caused.
The accident was reported at 7.25pm.
Rain across the UAE has left roads wet and Dubai Police have issued several advisories to motorists to drive slow and keep a safe distance to avoid accidents.
