Adnoc to sell 50lb LPG cylinders in Northern Emirates

Starting June 29, 50lb LPG cylinders will be retailed in the Emirates of Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Qaiwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah at Adnoc service stations round-the-clock.

Adnoc Distribution announced on Tuesday that the decision will also allow UAE nationals with a Rahal e-Gas card to buy one cylinder a month at a subsidised rate of Dh30.

The move follows the directives of the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Supreme Petroleum Council, and the follow-up of General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, as part of their vision to provide seamless convenience to all citizens of the UAE.

Abdulla Nasser Al Suwaidi, Director General of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Adnoc Distribution, applauded the UAE leadership’s vision and said Adnoc is motivated to leverage all of its resources for appropriate implementation of the directive.

Our efforts to roll out delivery of 50lb LPG cylinders across our service stations in the Emirates reflect Adnoc Distribution’s commitment to conforming to the direction of our wise leadership."

Adnoc Distribution has said that Rahal e-Gas card holders are required to update their data to ensure their eligibility to purchase Adnoc Distribution’s latest offering in the Northern Emirates. These cards are issued free of charge to UAE nationals through outlets in Abu Dhabi, the Western Region and Al Ain and Sharjah. The cards are also issued through Rahal e-Gas selling points located across a number of Adnoc Distribution’s service stations in the Northern Emirates.

UAE nationals need to submit a completed application form, plus a copy of their passport and family book for the purchase of Rahal e-Gas cards at the issuing centres. These cards can also be recharged to a value of Dh200.
