Virtual travellers from around the world can enjoy an immersive fly-through of Dubai with 360° aerial panoramas by visiting https://dubai.globalvision360.com

From the free online interface, visible on computers and mobile devices, one can turn all around the scenes from an altitude of 130 metres and discover all landmarks in Dubai from the world’s tallest skyscraper Burj Khalifa to the famous Jumeirah Palm Island.

Visit over a dozen 360° scenes just as if you were a bird and get more information about particular elements in the scenes. Multiple Wikipedia articles are integrated in the scenes and give further explanations to viewers.

GlobalVision Communication (https://www.globalvision360.com) is the company which originated this project. With its main office in Switzerland and subsidiaries in Vietnam, France and UAE, GlobalVision serves customers with 360° immersive technologies and offers full-range of street view mapping and 2D/3D UAV-based maps.

The Dubai project was done by GlobalVision personnel using heavy-duty drones and high-definition cameras. All images have been collected, retouched and linked to each other using know-how developed in-house. This project is also part of the opening of GlobalVision’s new office in Dubai.

Jan-Mathieu Donnier, GlobalVision’s CEO, says:  “UAV mapping and 360° panoramic imagery is a booming sector in which we have 15 years’ experience.”

“We are in the process of opening three new regional offices this year,” he added.
