Art events in Dubai, Abu Dhabi this month

Internationally acclaimed contemporary visual artist Gigi Scaria will be at the Art*ry in Dubai this weekend. Tomorrow [Friday, October 17], Art*ry Talk with Gigi Scaria is expected to pioneer a new trend for art lovers in the region, offering a rare opportunity to explore the creative thought process that goes into a work of art.

Gigi Scaria is an internationally acclaimed Indian artist whose creative repertoire includes painting, photography, installation, sculpture and video art.

Art*ry was founded earlier this year by a group of UAE-based artists professionally engaged in varied creative fields. Inspired by the remarkable contribution made by Kochi Muziris Biennale to the global contemporary art scene, the group established an art gallery that will actively support the UAE’s efforts to become the Mena region’s prime art destination.

Art of Henosis is a group of artists, curators and educators who look at the role of art and artists in the community. It  stands for alternative art education, art and art healing manifesto.
