India's most prolific film director Priyadarshan has arrived in the capital to start pre-production works to shoot the first Indian movie fully filmed on locations in the emirate of Abu Dhabi.

The Emirati-Indian joint project under the banner Jancos Entertainment is being produced by the Ashok Kumar-Jamal Al Nuaimi-Naveen Shashidharan team.

Priyadarshan, who boasts 81 Indian movies under his belt including the national award winner for the Best Film 'Kanjeevaram' (2008), says that his ground-breaking venture will show the world the untouched beauty and grandeur of the emirate's landscape and vibrant culture.

The director who took Bollywood by storm and cast an array of superstars in his movies including Amitabh Bachan, Mammutty, Anil Kapoor, Shah Rukh Khan and Ajay Devgan, is returning to Kollywood after an interval that lasted eight years to produce a Malayalam film.

The fun film, entitled 'The Arabian, the Camel and Madhavan Nair', starring Mohanlal, Laxmi Rai and Bhavana will be an entertainer for the entire family including children.

Priyadarshan said he wanted to show the world how different and visually rich is this part of Arabia.

"Abu Dhabi is untouched by the global film industry. I want to show the world its magnificence and richness", said the director, who brought a fresh air into the sophisticated Bollywood film industry.

Priyadarshan thanked the Abu Dhabi film Commission (ADFC) for offering all necessary support in his new venture. ADFC, launched by the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (Adach) promotes Abu Dhabi as a new filming location for the global film industry.

The movie will shine light on the Indian Diaspora living in the Gulf in a human approach that is special to Priyadarshan.
