Car breaks woman's fall from 5th floor

A Moroccan woman suffered from serious injuries when she fell down from the fifth floor in a Sharjah building and hit a parked car in the area, a newspaper reported on Monday.

Doctors at Al Qassimi hospital said the 28-year-old woman suffered from fractures in many parts of the body but that her condition has stabilized.

“We performed one operation but will she will have to undergo more surgeries to fix all the fractures within the next weeks,” said Dr Mahmoud Zain Al Abidin, head of the orthopedic section at the hospital.

He told Emirat Alyoum newspaper that the woman had been moved out of the intensive care unit, adding that she survived the fall because she hit a car.

The paper did not say how the woman fell down.
