Car catches fire in Conrad hotel parking

A car caught fire in the parking of Conrad hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road forcing the guests to evacuate.

The car was on the ground floor of the hotel’s parking lot but did not cause any damage apart from the smug on the wall of the lot.

As soon as the hotel guests smelt smoke, they got on to the streets, the hotel was also evacuated soon.

Brigadier Ahmad Al Sayegh, Deputy Director of the General Department of Dubai Civil Defense said that the fire was not major, however it did cause heavy smoke the evacuation was only precautionary.

The firefighters, rescue squad and ambulance rushed immediately to extinguish the fire upon receiving a tip off.
