ServiceMarket.com, the leading online platform for home services and car insurance in the UAE, has teamed up with Careem to offer UAE residents free rides when they buy a car insurance policy in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the rest of the country.
Already established as the go-to website for home services in the UAE, ServiceMarket.com has recently launched a platform where residents can compare live quotes for their car insurance and buy their policy online. As of March 12th, ServiceMarket is teaming up with Careem exclusively to offer an innovative and one-of-its-kind benefit to anyone who buys car insurance via ServiceMarket.
The companies have partnered to offer the following:
Careem Basic Benefit:
This option is offered at no additional cost on all comprehensive car insurance policies sold on ServiceMarket.com. Should a customer get into an accident, ServiceMarket.com will provide a voucher worth Dh250 for the customer to use Careem’s chauffeur driven services for 5 days while their car is being repaired.
Careem Premium Benefit:
This premium option is offered exclusively on Qatar Insurance (QIC) policies sold on ServiceMarket.com. This premium option is provided for a small fee of Dh140 in addition to the price of the car insurance policy.
Both benefits are available on comprehensive car insurance policies bought on ServiceMarket. The promotion will end on 12th of June 2017.
Bana Shomali, Founder of ServiceMarket.com commented, “We are very excited to work with Careem and Qatar Insurance to lead the way in the car insurance industry and deliver a completely new concept to drivers in the UAE. Now our customers can have the peace of mind if they are ever left without their car after an accident. They can use Careem’s services completely free of charge and will not have to worry about driving for a while. As a FinTech business it is our responsibility to rethink traditional ways of servicing customers and not simply copy current models when taking traditional businesses into the digital space. Our goal is to offer unique benefits that will make a difference when a customer has to rely on their car insurance cover.”
Commenting on the partnership, Aura Lunde, GM of Careem in the UAE said “Getting on board with ServiceMarket to help customers out when they are in a tight spot with their transport, is a great opportunity for us to simplify their lives. We are all about taking the hassle out of getting around town, staying safe and using our technology to match customers with a car when they need one. What better time to help them out when they are stuck without a car."
Frederik Bisbjerg, Executive Vice President of Qatar Insurance Company added, “We know how stressful a car accident can be for our customers and feel this new product can help release some of the tensions following an accident. Now our customers don't have to worry about getting a rental car to drive themselves but can rely on the professional driver services offered by Careem."
