Consensual sex case teen to see psychiatrist

The Brazilian teenager, sentenced for consensual sex with her school bus driver, has been ordered to undergo psychiatric treatment, according to a report in 'The National'.

The girl who was 14 at that time was tried as an adult in the Criminal Court of First Instance under Shariah law and awarded six months imprionsment followed by deportation and the driver sentenced to jail for a year plus deportation.

This is the second time she and the driver had appeared in the Appeals Court.
