Contaminated Vimto pulled off Ajman shelves

Ajman municipality withdrew 230 cartons of Vimto fruit drink off the shelves after impurities were disovered in samples.

According to a report in 'Al Khaleej' newspaper, the 250ml bottles of the drink contained gel-like foreign particles as well as bacteria and fungi beyond the permissible limits.

The municipality issued a warning to outlets selling contaminated and expired products.

Vimto is a soft drink and health tonic. It comprises juices of various fruits.
