Cop on duty at Duty Free 'caught' stealing

An Emirati policeman on duty at the Dubai Internaional Airport's Duty Free is accused of stealing a bluetooth earpiece from one of the outlets.

AK, 21, stole a Nokia device worth Dh500 from a box in the shop, the CCTV footage proved. He was questioned by his senior Lieutenant. Initially he denied taking it but later on showing the camera footage, he confessed to the crime and said that he would return the device and pay the charges even. But requested him not to report the matter to police.

The Emirati lieutenant testified that the accused was in-charge of picking up belongings passengers leave behind inadvertently.
