Coptic church in Dubai celebrates Christmas

Egyptian Coptic Orthodox Church in Dubai and Northern Emirates has expressed its appreciation of the religious tolerance adopted by the UAE under wise leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Their Highnesses the Supreme Council members and Rulers of the Emirates.

During a mass held Thursday, Rev. Ishaq Al-Anba Bishoy, pastor of Al Anba Antonio Cathedral Church extended, in the name of Pope Shenouda III of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Mark, thanked Sheikh Khalifa, Sheikh Mohammed and the Rulers.
He praised the hospitality and tolerance accorded to the members of the Egyptian Coptic community and other communities in the UAE and the freedom they enjoy in practicing their religion.

Egyptian Consul General Muhab Nasr headed yesterday a delegation from the Consulate and the Egyptian Community on a visit to the church.
