Corniche Street in Majaz 3 re-opened

Corniche Street in Majaz 3 in Sharjah was re-opened for traffic on Tuesday February 3 after a six-day closure.

The part of Corniche Street bordering Khalid Lagoon along the Majaz 3 perimeters has been reopened for traffic,  the Road and Transport Authority (RTA) Sharjah has announced.

The road closure was part of the second phase of maintenance works on Corniche Street around Khalid Lagoon, including the opening of new pedestrian crossings on the road.  Other works entailed repaving of three lanes of the road, in addition to adding road marks, and other road improvement measures.

During the closure, traffic was diverted to the opposite direction - one lane in the direction of Al Khalidiya Bridge and two lanes on the way to Al Qasba Channel Bridge.
