Crash causes tailback on Sheikh Zayed Road

The Sunday morning commute got stickier with a minor accident reported on Sheikh Zayed Road, northbound, near second interchange, causing tailbacks stretching beyond Dubai Media City.

Dubai Police confirmed the crash, tweeting on its official Twitter account: “An accident has been reported on Sheikh Zayed Road after Al Manara bridge toward Trade Centre tunnel; please be extra cautious.”

Commuters continued to report “lots of slow traffic” with another stating: “Serious traffic congestion on Sheikh Zayed Road after Dubai Media City towards Sharjah. Be prepared for the delays. Drive safe.”

Other minor fender benders have also been reported on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road, opposite Falcon City of Wonders, towards Abu Dhabi.

Another accident on has been reported on E66 near Nad Al Sheba, heading towards Dubai causing congestion and tailback.

Meanwhile, commuters are reporting Al Mankhool Road is jammed this morning, with one commuter blaming a change in traffic signal timings when heading towards Satwa.
