Decomposed male body found in a Fujairah wadi
Fujairah Police have begun extensive investigations to probe the circumstances behind the death of a decomposed body found in a valley in Al Hail area, 10km to the south-west of Fujairah city.
According to Arabic daily Al Khaleej, Brigadier Mohammed Ahmed bin Ghanim Al Ka’abi, Commander-in-Chief of Fujairah Police, said the Operations Room had received a tip-off yesterday that a municipality worker at Al Hail found the body while on duty.
Al Ka’abi said “the body of the unidentified male was completely decomposed.”
He added: “An investigation team of the CID, prosecutors and a forensic doctor immediately rushed to the spot where the body was found and it has been examined. While it was difficult to identify the person, we have been able to ascertain his gender as male.”
Al Ka’abi added that the body has been transferred to Fujairah Hospital in order for an autopsy to be carried out to determine the real cause of death, and the completion of the investigation.
