Dubai Real Estate Institute (DREI), the educational arm of Dubai Land Department, has launched a series of training workshops in Abu Dhabi, Ajman and Riyadh, in cooperation with organisations in the UAE and abroad.

The workshops will cover industry topics like real estate marketing, management, understanding the real estate economy, and investing in real estate.

Mahmoud El Burai, director of the Dubai Real Estate Institute, commented: "We have conducted five training courses for 126 industry professionals in Abu Dhabi and Ajman, and one additional session in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

El Burai added: "Our aim is to share Dubai’s extensive knowledge and experience in real estate, as well as strengthen co-operation between government entities in the UAE and the region. This will also help in the exchange of expertise in real estate training and professional development. This will in turn contribute to the development of the real estate sector as well as encourage implementation of global best practices."

Two training workshops on real estate valuation and certification were organised for 40 municipal employees in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Western Region and other regions of the emirate, as part of the agreement signed between Dubai Real Estate Institute and the Department of Municipal Affairs in Abu Dhabi.

In Ajman, two sessions were conducted to train, certify and register 66 real estate brokers as part of an agreement with the Ajman Land Department.

In Riyadh, the institute organised a training course in real estate valuation for 20 brokers in co-operation with the local chamber of commerce.
