The civic body announced that 1,706 student reps from various schools participated in the competitions, which included painting, colouring, modelling, photography, film-making, making reports and research related to heritage themes.
Rashad Bukhash, director of architectural heritage department, said the competitions were organised to inculcate an interest towards heritage and tradition in the young generation.
The contests, he added, also encouraged the young minds to learn more about their heritage.
At the event, the official also announced the theme for the next competition, and stated that the focus will be on the Dubai Creek.
