Draft law to enhance Dubai's aviation safety

The General Secretariat of Dubai Supreme Legislation Committee has met with Dubai’s aviation safety and security authorities to elaborate on a draft bill on aviation safety.

The proposed bill aims to sustain maximum aviation safety measures according to international practices and in-line with the standards of International Civil Aviation Organisation and UAE General Civil Aviation Authority.

Additionally, the proposed bill will proscribe any practices that could jeopardise aviation in the emirate of Dubai.

The meeting was attended by Secretary-General of Dubai Supreme Legislation Committee Ahmad Saeed bin Meshar Al Muhairi, Mohammed Abdulla Ahli, Director General of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and the Chief Executive of Dubai Air Navigation Services, and representatives from the Secretariat General of Dubai Supreme Legislation Committee, Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, General Secretariat of Dubai Executive Council, Dubai Police and Dubai Municipality.
