DSF 2013: Pakistani wins Nissan raffle draw

It’s not just the shopping, but also the winning that makes the Dubai Shopping Festival so spectacular.

The latest to join the winning brigade is Pakistani national Ali Abbas Naqvi.

He was the winner at the Nissan Grand Raffle on January 22.

The daily DSF Mega Raffle series has brought a smile to many residents this year, with many driving away with their  wins.

Ali, who has been living in Dubai for the past five years and is working in a banking, credits his four-year-old daughter Eman for the win.

“After I filled my coupon, my daughter took it and dropped it into the raffle drum. She always does it. So, the win is because of her. We are firstly thankful to Allah for showering us with this great gift.”

This isn’t the first time that Ali has participated in the DSF raffle. Ali had dropped the raffle coupon at Ibn Battuta Mall, after spending a day shopping with his family.

His father-in-law is currently visiting them for DSF.

“When I got the call informing me that I had won, I couldn’t believe it. But when we eventually realised this was true, we were so happy. Now I can look forward to giving my daughter a great education.”

Ali, who could choose one Nissan model from among 12, picked the Nissan Altima.

The daily Nissan Grand Raffle gives lucky winners the chance to choose from one of 12 Nissan models - Micra Hatchback, Sunny Sedan, Maxima, Qashqai, Murano, Patrol, Juke, Altima, 370Z, Xterra, Pathfinder, or Armada – as their prize.

 The daily draw is held at Global Village.

Every Dh20 spend on non-fuel products at ENOC and EPPCO petrol station, and every Dh200 spent at participating retail outlets, will enable a customer to take part in the raffle draw.
