Dubai Duty Free has announced a Millennium Millionaire and Finest Surprise winners at the draw held (Tuesday) at Terminal 3 Concourse B of Dubai International Airport.
Mr. R. Razian, a Palestinian national residing in Toronto, Canada has become the 237th Millennium Millionaire winner when his ticket no. 4669 in Series 237 has won him US$1 million dollar.
Mr. Razian, a 54 year-old father of five who runs a digital printing company in Dubai, never fails to buy at least a single ticket to Dubai Duty Free promotions whenever he travels to Toronto four to five times a year.
Upon hearing the news early morning, Mr. Razian shakingly commented, “You have made my day for this great news that came at a much needed time, thank you Dubai Duty Free!”
Meanwhile, the first lucky winner of the Finest Surprise promotion, Mr. Shane Mark Herbert, a Canadian national from Ontario will no doubt be excited to learn that his ticket no.0787 in Series 1647 has won him a luxury Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe.
The winner of a motorbike, Mr. Sunil Thundlyll, a Dubai-based Indian national was elated to know that his ticket no.0866 in Series 299 has made him a proud owner of a Ducati Monster 821 (Red). Mr. Thundlyll, a resident of Dubai for 15 years, is a regular participant in the Finest Surprise promotion.
A presentation was then held alongside the draw and Dubai Duty Free presented a ceremonial cheque to Ms. Delband Rastgouy Mashhoor for winning US$1 million in Series 236 with ticket no. 2535.
“I’m especially delighted to attend the presentation and I’m happy to meet Dubai Duty Free team who made this happen”, commented Ms. Mashboor on receiving her prize.
The draw and the presentation was conducted by Dubai Duty Free officials headed by Colm McLoughlin, Executive Vice Chairman and CEO, Ramesh Cidambi, COO, Sinead El Sibai, Senior Vice President - Marketing, Sean Staunton, Senior Vice President – Retail Sales and Michael Schmidt, Senior Vice President – Retail Support.
