Dubai house party fight lands 2 in jail

A Tanzanian woman, KS, hit a Lebanese man with a glass, causing him sight disability, after he verbally misbehaved with her during a house party.

Both were sentenced to three months in jail.
 
AH, Lebanese, 39, was ordered to pay Dh5,000 fine for consuming alcohol.

The Dubai Criminal Court of First Instance also ordered the two to be deported after serving their jail sentence.
 
According to the records, at around 8.30pm on Thursday, February 5, 2015, a dinner party was hosted in the Al Muteena area.
 
“I drank two beer cans. At around 12.30am a misunderstanding occurred between KS and me.

All of a sudden she threw a glass at me, hurting my eye,” AH testified.
 
One of the party attendants, SS, 27, Tanzanian said, "SK shouted loudly saying that the Lebanese made sexual implications."
 
As the man’s eye was seriously hurt and his eyes were bleeding, he was rushed to the hospital.
 
The woman admitted to abusing the Lebanese and unintentionally assaulting him.
