The largest number of complaints received by Dubai Municipality Call Centre this year on the toll-free number 800900 have been concerning bachelor accommodation in residential areas.
Ibrahim Al Dashti, Head of the Municipality Call Centre, said that the number of reports received regarding housing of bachelors in residential areas was 769 during the current year.
He said that the Call Centre also received 162 complaints from residents saying that they are affected by animals being raised in their neighbour’s homes and there were 20 complaints due to damage caused by Damas trees at neighbouring homes.
"Dubai Municipality is keen to follow up the needs of its customers and different categories of society. Hence, we have started a new service called "Preview Report on Damas Tree Damage." The service, introduced at the Municipality Call Centre, is for verifying the damage caused before taking any necessary measures," said Dashti.
He said that recently, it has been noticed that there has been an increase in the number of reports and complaints received by Dubai Municipality from home owners affected by their neighbours. He added that the Municipality had also received reports on other issues that affect residents such as water leaks from neighbouring houses due to car washing at home, and throwing agricultural or household waste next to the neighbour's house.
