Dubai Police, which now has one of the best suggestion systems in the world, received as many as 61 e-suggestions per day from its cadres and adopted 14 e-suggestions made by its staff last year, helping to raise its revenue by Dh6 million.
According to Maj. Gen. Dr Abdul Qaddus Abdul Raziq Al Obaidli, Director of Total Quality Management (TQM), Dubai Police, the department received 22,385 e-suggestions from 6,051 staffers in 2013, marking a rise of 6.3 per cent over the previous year.
Staff suggestions made in the past 10 years resulted in raising the department’s revenue by Dh32.8 million, Al Obaidli said.
The police is adopting many suggestions made by its cadres to improve its efficiency and quality of its services. The suggestion system has been in place at Dubai Police for the past 14 years, he added.
Al Obaidli stressed that Dubai Police’s e-suggestion system is characterized by strict confidentiality. The personal data of the person proposing an idea is kept secret, he added.
