Dubai, Sharjah motorists on wet roads alert

Motorists in Dubai and Sharjah woke up to wet and slippery roads as it began to rain on Monday morning.

After a sunny Sunday, which saw throngs of people take to the outdoors to celebrate the Eid Al Adha holidays yesterday, the weather turned gloomy and overcast on Monday?

Rain began to pour down, though not heavily, across the emirates of Dubai and Sharjah.

National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) has predicted rain on the first and second days of Eid Al Adha.

The NCMS has warned swimmers and boat owners not to venture out to sea over the coming days.

A drizzle was also reported in Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah, and it is expected to spread.

Winds could pick up as well and motorists have been advised to be careful while driving.
