Multiple accidents have stalled early morning commute for many Dubai residents.
An eyewitness reported traffic congestion at 8.50am in Dubai Silicon Oasis heading towards Dubai, maintaining that it was minor accidents but were causing slow-moving traffic.
A crash was also reported on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road this morning, causing tailbacks and congestion.
Google Maps at 8.14am showed slow-moving traffic stretching over a few kilometres.
At 8.17am, TrafficDXB twitter handle reported, “Multiple accidents on Al Rebaat St before Nad Al Hammar Rd intersection towards Deira causing congestion & tailback upto #SMBZR intersection.”
At 8am, a motorist tweeted: “Accident on Airport Road just before Rashidiya metro heading towards DXB.”
And “Accident on E611 Emirates Road at exit 36 Jebel Ali bound.”
An hour earlier, TrafficDXB reported, “Multiple accidents on #SMBZR opp Arabian Ranches before Umm Sequim Rd interchange causing congestion and tailback upto E66 Dubai-AlAin Rd.”
“Major accident on #SMBZR opp Global Village towards #AbuDhabi is causing massive congestion and delays as 4 lanes are blocked. Drive safe,” was reported around 6.20am.
