Eight cars were broken into and burgled over the weekend in Sharjah. All the car windows were broken in the same manner, apparently using a special tool designed for the purpose, say residents of Al Khan area.

A Sharjah Police official was quoted by 'Gulf Today as saying that investigations have begun and the cars taken to the Criminal Investigation Department for further examination and to take fingerprint samples.

“It seems that the car windows were broken by the same manner using a special tool for this purpose. The burglars mainly targeted four wheelers and luxury cars and stole personal belongings from the vehicles,” said one resident.

“We have never come across such a robbery in this area and we hope the burglar will be arrested very soon,” he added.
