Elderly people in Dubai prepared for Eid, see How

On the occasion of Eid Al Adha The (CDA) in Dubai visited a number of elderly people living alone in their homes

The Community Development Authority (CDA) in Dubai visited a number of elderly people living alone in their homes to inspect their conditions and to prepare them to celebrate Eid al-Adha reported Emarat Al Youm.

The newspaper quoted that the number of elderly people who are living alone without families in Dubai is nearly 212 elderly.

The CDA indicated that it has been submitted gifts to them and have allocated two days before Eid to receive elderly people of Thuker social club who are in need to shave or cut their hair to be ready for Eid Al Adha.  

Meanwhile Mariam Al Hamadi Director of The Elderly people Department at the CDA said that the number of elderly who are registered in the well care private program to care about the elderly which known as Waleef is 212 elderly living without families.  

She added that those elderly people live without their families either due to the absence of their families or the result of lack of first degree relatives like sons and daughters or because their children far from their sites as a result of jobs or family obligations.

Al Hamadi said that the home care workers became associated humanitarian with the elderly people where they give responsibility toward them even outside the time of service.

She noted that they continue to check on them, even if not within the timing of their duty.  

She said they are eager to visit the elderly during Eid days and spend some time with them as they deal with the elderly in their families.

She added that inflect on the elderly people and make them feel as if they are in families despite were not based on blood.
