Emirates, Etihad and Air Arabia hiring cabin crew, other staff

The UAE’s three largest airlines Emirates, Etihad Airways and Air Arabia are hiring cabin crew and other technical staff for their fast expanding fleets.

Emirates airline is hiring full-time permanent Cabin Services Assistant who would be part of the cabin crew team that flies with A380 – the world’s largest aircraft – fleet.

The candidate will have to monitor, organize, hygienically clean and personalise the A380 shower spas, maintenance of first and business class lounges and general cabin areas.

The role is to clean designated aircraft areas and does not overlap with or replace normal cabin crew service responsibilities.

Duties also include maintaining inventory control function and also in-flight replenishments.

The candidate, according to the airline, should have thorough knowledge of the shower spa products, service and operation in order to assist cabin crew in introducing the shower spa to customers and engage with customers in a confident and friendly manner.

Apart from being fluent in English, the candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of two years customer service experience with an international hotel chain/ airline/ world class service provider.

However, experience in hospitality industry with housekeeping department would be an advantage, the airline said.

Etihad Airways

The Abu Dhabi-based UAE national carrier has also advertised for the jobs of cabin crew.

The airline’s cabin crew team is made up of food and beverage managers, in-flight chefs, cabin seniors and cabin managers. These all are full-time permanent jobs at the UAE’s national carrier.

The carrier said the selected candidates would be required to ensure safety of passengers as well as providing great service at all times.

Etihad offers selected candidates tax-free competitive salary (to be reviewed on regular basis); free accommodation in a modern shared fully-furnished apartment; transportation to-and-from the airport during flight duties; free access to exclusive Etihad swimming pools, health clubs and fitness centres; unlimited personal travel at special rates; an annual leave ticket and generous concessions for family and friends; free private medical insurance and life/accident insurance; and annual leave of 30 days.

The minimum age should be 21 years and should be able to reach 210cms without shoes. He/she should be fluent in English while fluency in other languages is an additional advantage.

Among other requirements, the candidate should be a good swimmer; not having any visible tattoos; educated to a minimum level of accredited secondary education or equivalent; never convicted of a criminal offence; strong interpersonal communication skill; and excellent personal presentation, style and image.

The selected candidates will have to undergo medical and health screening.

Air Arabia

Sharjah-based low-cost carrier – the largest in the Middle East and North Africa – is recruiting for the Controller position.

This role is responsible for RAL updating, and all activities concerned with updating and achieving maintenance documents including records, maintenance and engineering publications and all records linked to licensed engineers like training and authorisation files.

The candidate should be holding high school certificate or equivalent; good standard in English with a strong communication skills. The candidate should be a Moroccan national and will be based in Casablanca, Morocco.
