It was peer pressure that tempted Emirati Saeed Rashid Turkey to try his luck at the Nissan Grand Raffle this year.

“I noticed that so many people were winning at the DSF mega raffles. So I decided to try my luck,” he said. “I had never participated in a raffle draw before, but this time I felt I stood a chance.”

And, the gamble worked wonders for him as he walked away with a brand new Altima.

Since the launch of the 19th edition of the DSF, he has been diligently buying tickets for the Nissan raffle draw every day.

In fact, he believes that he devised a (winning) strategy, wherein he bought coupons from different locations because it would “be a good idea to spread them out”.

“I bought coupons at different locations because I thought it would be a good idea to spread them out.”

Recalling the excitement when he got the call from Global Village, he said, “I was so excited to just hear the word “win” – it was an amazing feeling.”

Saeed went to the Global Village to enter the second draw to choose the Nissan model and won the Nissan Altima.

Saeed has not yet decided whether he wants to keep the car or sell it.

“I am not sure what I’m going to do with the car – I might just leave it as a nice memory from DSF. But no one knows what the future holds. I might sell it later on.

“I am thankful to God that I actually won. Honestly speaking, I did not participate with an intention to win. I just wanted to try my luck.”

Throughout the DSF 2014, the Nissan Grand Raffle will see one lucky winner daily driving away in one of the 14 top models from the brand’s eclectic line-up of cars and SUVs that includes top models such as Pathfinder, Armada, Murano, Xterra, Patrol, Qashqai, Juke, Maxima, Altima, Sunny, Tiida, Micra Hatchback, Sentra and the sports car 370Z.

Raffle coupons can be obtained at ENOC and EPPCO stations by spending a minimum of Dh20 towards non-fuel purchases.
