Etihad Airways has increased the number of flights to Casablanca and Tokyo. The airline will fly daily to both the countries.

Currently Etihad flies five times a week to and from the Moroccan capital. Its daily travel well commence from March 2013 while the daily flights to Tokyo will begin from April 2, 2013.

Etihad had launched its Abu Dhabi – Tokyo flight in 2010 serving around 160,000 passengers with their five non-stop flights a week.

Aiming to enhance connectivity by 50 per cent from Abu Dhabi, the daily flights will also connect traffic to countries like Jeddah along with Bangkok, Malaysia, Kuala Lampur, Manila and Sydney.

James Hogan, Etihad Airways’ President and Chief Executive Officer, said, “Abu Dhabi’s geographical location makes it ideal as a gateway for air travellers from Morocco to connect to markets in Australia, the Far East and throughout the Arabian Gulf easily and quickly.”

Strengthening connectivity with code share partner, Royal Air Maroc, passengers will be given more choice to visit other destinations in West Africa.
