Fewa bills can be paid in installments
UAE citizens in the Northern Emirates can now pay their electricity and water bills in installments, reports 'Al Khaleej' newspaper.
Mohammed Mohammed Saleh, Director-General, Fewa, said 25 per cent of the amount needs to be paid in cash as first installment. But with the permission of the Executive Director of customer service, it can be waived off.
The service is limited only to citizens, he added. The due amount can be paid in 12 monthly installments or on six-month basis upon approval of the Director of Customer Service for the region.
He said authorities will follow-up and monitor payments and Fewa has the right to disconnect electricity and water supply in case of lack of commitment by clients.
