Fire spotted in Jadaf area
A fire has reportedly broke out around noon in Dubai today.
Residents thought the fire was in Al Jaddaf area. However the Dubai Police has confirmed that the fire is in Umm Ramool area.
In their tweet to Emirates247 police wrote, “No fire report at Jaddaf area. However, there is fire in Um Ramool area.”
An eyewitness, who was driving on Al Khail road, stated that he saw plumes of black smoke emerging from the Dubai Festival City side.
A few residents even posted images of black smoke on twitter.
“Big fire opposite #festivalcity #dubai #uae,” tweeted a resident.
“Huge fire next to the airport! #dubai #fire #dubaiairport,” wrote another.
“Is it a fire?? #Dubai,” asked another, who reportedly spotted while coming over Dubai Airport Freezone.
Some speculate it could be a warehouse near the airport.
No details were available on the Dubai Police twitter handle yet.
