A court in Ajman fined a Gulf perfume trader Dh200,000 on charges of violating the labour law by abusing the rights of his four workers.

The court found the dealer guilty of failing to give all the rights to his employers after he shut down his business.

The court was told that the four workers have been out of the UAE since 2014 because their employer failed to renew their visas.

“The court found the employer guilty of failing to redress the position of his employees and provide the necessary documents for the labour ministry and immigration department. It decided that he violated the labour rules and fined him Dh200,000,” the Arabic language daily ‘Al Khaleej’ said.
