Fitr Zakat set at Dh20 for Ramadan: IACAD

The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai (IACAD) held a coordination meeting with the management of Charitable Foundations including Beit Al Khair, Dubai Charity and Red Crescent Authority Dubai Branch to discuss the unification of the value of donations in Ramadan.

This includes Iftar and Eid clothing and Zakat al-Fitr in the framework of coordination between the Department and all relevant authorities in order to push the charity work.

Ali Khalfan Al Mansouri, Head of Charitable Institutions Departments at IACAD, said that the purpose of the meeting was to agree on uniform prices between charity bodies operating in the emirate of Dubai.

He explained the draft proposal states that for Iftar the donation will be Dh15, Fitr Zakat Dh20 and for Eid clothing it will be Dh40.

The meeting also touched on a number of topics related to the support and development of the charity sector in the Emirate of Dubai.
