Five-day bereavement leave for close relatives

Paid Bereavement Leave of five days is allowed for all employees in case of a death among their first-degree relatives, according to a Ministry of Justice statement.
 
Explaining the entitlement of bereavement leave, a statement from the Fatwa and Legislation Department at the Ministry of Justice said “the first-degree relatives of a person are his father and mother, his wife and his children, and the second-degree relatives are his grandfather and grandmother, his grandchildren as well as children of his siblings.”
