Five jailed, to be deported for prostitution

A court in Ras Al Khaimah sentenced five Asians for between three and five years in prison and ordered their deportation after they were convicted of indulging in prostitution, Albayan daily said on Monday.

Two men were sentenced to five years each to be followed by deportation while three women will be jailed for three years and deported after serving their terms, the paper said.

It did not identify the five but said they had been arrested for running a vice den at an apartment in the emirate.
