A Chinese manager allegedly conned a compatriot visitor of Dh255,000 - cost of 16 work permits that were forged.
The victim, Zing Shing, 38, visitor, testified that he met the manager of contracting company and agreed with him to recruit 16 workers and to issue them work permits.
“He asked me for Dh255,000. I transferred the amount in installments through a money exchange company. “The manager of the contracting company, FW, 36, showed me the receipts of collecting the amount and handed me work permits which proved to be forged,” the victim testified.
The prosecution accused FW of breach of trust and forgery. The court will reconvene on July 6.
