Foul play or suicide? Korean dead in Sharjah

The death of a South Korean woman in the Al Majaz area of Sharjah is being investigated by the police.

According to a report in Al Khaleej, the woman was found hanging by the neck in her bathroom.

Suicide is suspected, but the body of the 52-year-old has been sent for forensic examination and a preliminary report by the police did not rule out foul play.
 

Waitress, student jailed over drug bash

A waitress who served drugs for her birthday party has been sentenced to five years in prison and fined Dh20,000, according to an Al Khaleej report.

The investigation proved that the Filipina, ET (35), had a party at her apartment in the Al Muraqqabat area where she invited four female friends and they consumed drugs.

The report also cited that the court sentenced a male accused in the case, student LB (27), to the same prison term.
