Four Indians have been convicted by Dubai Criminal Court for murdering a rival bootlegger and burying his body in a shallow sandy grave, reported 'The National'.

The men were already on trial for the rape, torture and murder of two other rivals.

Three other Indians were sentenced to 15 years in prison for offences related to the murder, which took place in November 2008 behind the Samsung office in Jebel Ali.

A Pakistani, also charged in connection with the brutal attack, was jailed for 10 years.

The charge came after they were arrested for the murder, rape and torture of another two rival gang members on January 1, 2009, one of whom has been named as Abu Baker Nujila.

The court adjourned the case for verdict on February 7.
