Dubai’s luxurious hotel Atlantic The Palm, is offering free five-night stay for adopting a fish.
“Atlantis, The Palm always aims to contribute to the public’s appreciation of marine life,” said Ravini Perera, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Atlantis, The Palm.
“Following the huge impact our real marine habitat has on all guests and visitors here in UAE, we decided to engage a wider audience on the wonders of marine life. We are excited to launch two virtual marine-based games that will not only entertain players everywhere around the world, but educate and reward them,” he said in a statement on Monday.
The prizes include a chance to stay for five nights, for eight people at Atlantis, The Palm and regular giveaways of Canon waterproof cameras. The games incorporate engaging quizzes that match the player to their fish equivalent, and reveal interesting facts in a fun way, through asking the player to adopt a sea creature, for example.
Some interesting facts
Did you know jelly fish have no eyes, ears, or brain and are made up of 95% water? Did you know the stomach of a starfish is also their mouth? The bowmouth guitar shark could be considered punk rocker of the ocean with its funky guitar shape, spiky exterior, and its tendency to dwell and feed along sand and mud bottoms of reefs.
These are some of the cool facts and stories presented as part of Atlantis, The Palm’s new marine education games available online. The iconic resort has been simultaneously entertaining and educating guests since its opening in 2008, through its activities at Dolphin Bay, The Lost Chambers and the amazing aquatic eco-system known as The Ambassador Lagoon. With its newest online competition, Adopt A Fish, Atlantis continues to champion entertainment and marine conservation, while giving players chances to win extraordinary Atlantis, The Palm prizes.
