A 23-year-old European woman has accused a hair stylist, of an Arab nationality, of trying to rape her in a beauty salon, Al Ittihad newspaper has reported.
The young woman said in her complaint that the man took the advantage of her closing her eyes, and forcibly kissed her.
In his argument, the lawyer of the accused challenged the verdict based on reports that the CCTV camera in the beauty centre didn’t show the accused with the victim.
The Dubai Criminal Court issued its verdict, sentencing the accused to three months in jail.
The court also issued a ruling of deportation against the accused.
